Reseller Privacy Notice
How Dugong handles the personal data in reseller applications under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Dugong International Private Limited (“Dugong”) decides how the personal data in your reseller application is used, as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
Firm and signatory particulars (name, PAN, GSTIN, Aadhaar number, email, phone numbers, addresses and GeM Seller ID), statutory documents (GST, PAN and Aadhaar cards, ITR, turnover and tax records), the signed vendor agreement, and technical details of your submission (IP address and browser).
Why we use it
To verify your firm and signatory, authorize you to sell Dugong products on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), issue and manage your authorization codes, meet legal and tax obligations, and contact you about your application.
How we protect it
Documents are stored privately and opened only by authorized Dugong staff through short-lived links. Your Aadhaar number is stored encrypted and shown only as its last four digits; every view of the full number is recorded.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that host our systems and send our emails, and with government authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as your authorization is active and as the law requires. If your application is rejected, your documents and personal data are deleted 12 months after rejection; only a minimal record (firm name, dates and outcome) is kept. Documents you upload but do not submit are deleted within a few hours.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in the reseller portal, withdraw your consent, and ask us to erase your data with “Request data deletion” in the portal. Erasure ends your authorization and revokes your codes. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
